Aston Martin V12 VantageAston Martin Racing, the motorsport division of the Aston Martin, recently returned to the racing scene in the United States. The sports car producer based in Britain debuted at Laguna Seca, part of the American Le Mans Series, and won the race.

Since this feat, we have also seen Aston Martin taking part at the Rolex 24 in the famous Daytona circuit. It fielded two V8 Vantage GT4 in partnership with the Multimatic Motrosports.

Aston Martin recently confirmed that it will unleash other race cars like the V12 Vantage GT3 and the Vantage GTE to take part in local competitions starting 2013. This was made possible because of its partnership with The Racers Group. The collaboration gives birth to TRG-AMR, an entity that will be laser focused on bringing Aston Martin vehicles to the most prestigious racing events in the U.S.

The TRG-AMR will initially field 10 race cars for this motorsport season.

Come February, the TRG-AMR produced Vantage GTE will be unwrapped in Sebring. The test sessions will be a few weeks ahead of the Twelve Hours of Sebring that takes place in March. The V8 Vantage GT4 samples will be ready for testing starting January.

TRG-AMR is also preparing its version of the Vantage GT3 that may join the Pirelli World Challenge Series and the Grand American Rolex racing series.

The partnership is also assembling a management team and putting up the needed infrastructure so TRG-AMR will be capable of assisting any customer team that wants to set up an Aston Martin for racing in the U.S.

Through the years, Aston Martin race cars have proven their worth. The Vantage GTE was able to bring the brand to a podium finish this year at the 12 Hours of Sebring. It also finished third at the gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans. It also placed second at the World Endurance Championship.

The Racers Group is a company headquartered in California. It boasts of a long list of success in the racing world with its first attempts traced back in the 1990s. For sure, the TRG team will bring more wins and trophies to the Aston Martin collection.
